Tohimba EP is made out of two groovy tech house original tracks and a great remix done by French producer Matt Sassari (Toolroom, Sci+Tec, Intec.) and by the quality of music we can only assume that theres a lot more great sounds to come from new born Serbian label.
First track, Tohimba, sounds very punchy and groovy at the same time, definitely very suitable for mixing and will catch the attention of many! With its greasy 2/4 bassline combined with 4/4 percussion loop and female vocal line following the flow of the groove, this track is the real killer! In the main break we have the vocal line developing to the real tribal singing which makes the clubbers go nuts, especially as and when mixed with the long snare roll lift up which leads to smooth drop before the madness followed by the amazing starting synth line! Not to forget the perfect snare fills which make the track complete.
Matt Sassaris remix on the other hand is more inclined to the techno sound which is recognizable for the young French producer. We hear very interesting way of editing original samples, delayed vocals and mixed percussions. There are some really nice low frequent percussions loved by the electronic music fans, and breaks with surprising length very subtly and nicely done. Very nice adaptation of the original track will serve many DJs in their sets.
Last, but not least, Rufaro, with itself brings a great warm up weapon to this release. Here we have a real dance floor mover! As we listen to ...
